 Eternal Flame: A Poem of Hope

The darkness surrounds, the shadows loom,

No light can penetrate this gloom.

Alone I sit, my only friend this flame,

Its dancing light, my soul's refrain.


Through suffering and pain, this candle burns,

Its radiant glow, my lesson learns.

No blood is shed, no life's put out,

This quiet flame dispels all doubt.


Though dark may come and shadows fall,

Its golden light sees through it all.

This quiet flame, my guiding light,

Will burn eternal through the night.


The darkness retreats, the shadows part,

This candle flame has warmed my heart.

Its radiance glows, will always be,

My eternal flame, to set me free.

  From Darkness Comes The Light That Guides The Way From Darkness Comes The Light That Guides The Way by Steven Fuchs The darkness surrounds me, an endless sea of black. No light escapes, no end in sight. The shadows creep and crawl, filling my mind with doubt and fear. All hope seems lost, consumed by the night. Yet in the distance, a flicker of gold appears. A candle, lit with fire, cutting through the inky black. Its flame dances and sways, casting light for me to see. A beacon of hope, my guiding star, leading me to where I'm meant to be. The candle burns eternal, its light forever bright. Through darkest days and stormy nights, it shows me the way. My fears and doubts melt away in its warm, radiant glow. The Eternal Flame

  The Eternal Flame by Steven Fuchs Energy flowed through me, flesh and blood beings Sentient. Memories faded like an open door - an invitation to start anew. Once fallen, now risen; healed wounds dripped time. Vibrations shook my core as I swung endlessly. Thunder roared, trampling all in its path. The pack was relentless, strength unyielding as claws tore into bone and sinew. The pain was fleeting; an illusion lost to the rhythm of the fight. My light shone gold against the coming dark, leveling enemies with every strike. Energy forever, flesh and blood and bone and breath - all one. Each foe vanquished another brick in the wall, my wall, keeping darkness at bay. As night fell, I closed my eyes one last time. The flame extinguished, its glow forever lighting the way for those to come. My flesh is now one with the mud and rain and blood, my energy flowing endlessly through space - yet still here to guide you in the eternal fight.
